Learning how to create better user stories

There’s an art to writing user stories that deliver value early and often. So it’s not surprising that people are looking for examples that show what works and what doesn’t.

We’ve certainly had a great response to the examples we put together: over 500 downloads in three months and some lovely feedback too.

Some of the best examples I have ever read. — Jakub Cígl

Thanks for the great content! I really like the way there's an INVEST checklist and you explain why various user stories pass / fail. — Deirdre O'Regan

So if you want to know what makes a good user story, and get examples of the good, the bad and the ugly, check out our guide to better user stories.

Machine learning made easy

The peeps at Google AI have put together a comic strip explaining what machine learning is, how it fits with Artificial Intelligence, and how it actually works.

It’s a nice example of the way you can promote a service by promoting greater understanding of the subject. They manage to demystify machine learning without dumbing it down or hyping it up.

Agile training to survive the robot apocalypse

The machines haven’t take all our jobs just yet. In fact, as this infographic from Guthrie-Jensen shows, the skills that Agile builds are exactly those needed to survive the robot apocalypse:

  1. Complex problem solving
  2. Critical thinking
  3. Creativity
  4. People management
  5. Coordinating with others
  6. Emotional intelligence
  7. Judgement and decision-making
  8. Service orientation
  9. Negotiation
  10. Cognitive flexibility

Our Agile Professional Foundation will help you build an Agile mindset that exercises these skills every day.

The two-day ICAgile-certified course is interactive and entertaining and sets you up to make a bigger impact in your day-to-day work. And keep the robots at bay.
