Boost is the happiest workplace — it’s official

One of the key ways we judge how successful we are here at Boost is by measuring team happiness. That’s because happiness and productivity go hand in hand: happy staff are productive and productive staff are happy.

We use a tool called TinyPulse to build and measure team engagement, including a regular happiness survey: each month we ask everyone how happy they are at work.

Which is why we were stoked to get this email a few days ago.

On behalf of the team at TINYpulse, I want to be the first to say – Congratulations!

Your employees have the highest average happiness scores in your industry.

Happy news! It's quite an achievement, especially since other organisations using TinyPulse are likely to be committed to creating happy workplaces.

Managing cloud costs — new report

As more and more organisations move to the cloud, the financial management of cloud services — FinOps — has become a field in its own right.

The FinOps Foundation is working to upskill the community. With that in mind, they’ve put out a report on the state of FinOps in 2021.

This report looks at:

  • top challenges
  • size and growth of FinOps teams
  • who the teams tend to report to
  • common tooling
  • optimisation techniques
  • forecasting
  • what is being automated.

If you’re looking to move to the cloud, check out our case study showing what DigitalNZ learned from their cloud migration.
