Getting inspired at the Gold Awards

Congratulations to all the winners at the Wellington Gold Awards! It was wonderful hearing your inspiring stories at the ceremony last week.

Having won the Team Gold award last year, we were stoked to be finalists again. Not least because it gave the Boost crew a chance to bust out the glad rags.

Congratulations to the team behind the awards as well. COVID-19 created plenty of headaches for people organising events like this, so it was a great achievement to put together such a sparkling affair.

Inspirational Agile training for immediate results

We had an awesome group complete the recent Agile Professional Foundation.

One thing that came through strongly in the feedback was the way the course inspires you to implement what you’ve learned the moment you get back to work.

“Super helpful and I'm really excited to get stuck into bringing some cool ideas and thoughts back.” — Bridget Carrell, Creative HQ

“A huge thank you for giving us the opportunity to take part. All of us have enjoyed the training and have taken away lots to weave into our business.” — Lesley Brown, Skylight Trust

“An awesome 4 mornings. I really enjoyed it and I am inspired to continue down this journey.” — Arlene McMorran, Plastic Studio

The course is:

  • a practical, interactive virtual workshop
  • offering ICAgile certification
  • run via Zoom
  • over four consecutive mornings.

The next course runs from 14–17 December. This is the only session left this year, so best to book early.

What inspires a Scrum team?

Our post on the Six signs of a successful Scrum team shows you how to inspire your team to deliver a product that gives your customers an ever-better experience, Sprint after Sprint.

It looks at rules of thumb to follow, values to respect, red flags to look out for and the levers you can pull. It shows how an inspiring vision of the benefits you’ll deliver your customers can both guide and motivate your team.

Guide to using the Government Marketplace

The Government Marketplace makes it easier for state agencies to engage suppliers of digital services. Because the Marketplace team has vetted suppliers, you can simply select the company that will give you the best results.

Once your agency has signed up to the Marketplace, there’s a four step process for making your selection. To make it all as easy as possible, we’ve put together a step-by-step guide to this process.
