Boost. The power of positive impact

27 August 2019

Make more of your day

Here’s our latest selection of news, tools, tips and ideas for ways you can make a bigger impact every day.

Working successfully with stakeholders

One of our most popular resources is our post on working with stakeholders.

That’s because Agile projects don’t exist in isolation. There are a whole bunch of people you need to have on board as you discover, develop, release, support and promote your product.

The post breaks down the different types of stakeholders: How do you identify them, how and when do you work with them, and how do you get the support you need to succeed?

How happy are you at work?

Stuff have picked up on Boost’s team happiness metric, running a feature about us as part of their Good Life Guide series: The Kiwi company that measures happiness.

The article includes a quiz asking, “What do you reckon your workplace would score for happiness on a scale of 1-10?”.

It didn’t make happy reading. When I last looked, 81% rated their workplace happiness either sad or meh. Only 3% gave it a perfect 10.

At Boost, we use TinyPulse to measure happiness and increase team engagement. They’ve shared an infographic from Happify that shows why happiness matters, and what everyone can do to be happier at work.

Welcome to the Agile edge

Are you finding it hard to make progress at work? Our Agile Professional Foundation course shows you how you can make a difference every day.

By welcoming you into our Agile development studio, we get to share what we’ve learned about how Agile works in the real world. You get to see practical Agile tools in action, as well as getting the practical career boost that comes from earning ICAgile and PMI certification.

It’s all part of Boost’s value of manaakitanga: We want to be welcoming and supportive, and the APF course is a key way we can do this. That and making a mean coffee, tea, hot choc or chai latte, depending on your personal preferences.

Our next two-day Agile Professional Foundation course runs 21–22 October.

“Boost is also a development company, which means they bring real-world experience to their training.”
James McLean, Fairfax Media
