Agile outside software development

You don’t need to be working in the IT world to get the benefits of the Agile way of working. If your work is complex and the solution unclear, Agile can get you there sooner and with less risk.

But most of the guidance on Agile is for teams developing software. Luckily there’s a guide for people outside the tech industry. It’s called Agile for Non-software Teams.

Here’s a summary of the process the book suggests for tailoring Agile to your own team.

Digital culture making a difference

For this year’s National Digital Forum cultural heritage conference, we were asked to put together a quick video introducing Boost. So we thought we’d share some of the great things our cultural heritage clients are up to.

Thanks to Sean for stepping up as host and to Matt Wood for shooting and cutting the clip in just a few hours.

Tiana joins the team

We’re loving having our new Studio Coordinator Tiana Tikimoe on board. With six younger siblings, she’s been her family’s go-to babysitter for years now, and it shows. Boost is one big family and she’s already taken our team, clients and suppliers under her wing.

“I love it here,” she says. “It feels strange to be excited to go to work everyday. It seems weird that everyone here loves their job. I can see it’s going to be an awesome place to grow and to learn.”

She’s also putting her design diploma to work as she eyes up ways to make the Boost studio even more welcoming in the days ahead.
