New online Agile training dates

We’ve just added new dates for both our Zoom-based Agile training options. These often get booked out, so secure your seats today.

Free 2 hour Introduction to Agile

This normally runs every second Friday, but we’ve added a session this Wednesday. We figure people in lockdown will be keen for a bit of variety in their working day.

  • Wed 25 Aug 10.00am – noon NZDT: Book now
  • Fri 27 Aug 2.00pm – 4.00pm NZDT: Book now

Agile Professional Foundation

Our ICAgile-certified course runs over four mornings. You’ll get a comprehensive grounding in the principles and practices of Agile in a lively, interactive online setting.

  • Mon 11 Oct – Thu 14 Oct, 9.00am – noon NZDT: Book now
  • Mon 6 Dec – Thu 9 Dec, 9.00am – noon NZDT: Book now

Share the benefits

If you’re already enjoying the benefits of our training, and you know someone else it would help, feel free to share this with them.

Boost open and working from home during lockdown

Boost remains open and the Boost team are all working from home. A couple had cold and flu symptoms but have tested clear. Phew.

We hope everyone is coping with the return to lockdown as well as can be expected. During the first lockdown, we found that making an effort to keep up the personal connection while working from home made a big difference. Here’s the blog post we put together showing what we did.

Three team members taking part in a Golden moments retrospective. Are you coming to the end of a project? Or maybe one of your team is moving on. If so, check out this retrospective that our Agile lead Rebecca came up with. The Golden moments retrospective is a great way to look back at a project and remember the good stuff. That way you can lock it in for your next piece of work. If you haven’t come across the concept of the retrospective before, it’s exactly what it sounds like: a meeting that looks backwards. The aim is to identify takeaways from past work to guide what you do in the future. How you run the Golden moments retro

Let’s get quizzical

Let's get quizzical posterOur last R&D day was devoted to developing the team as generalists by expanding our general knowledge.

OK, we had a quiz.

Channeling Olivia Newton John’s Physical in leotard and leg-warmers, Quiz Queen Rebecca kept the energy high.

Luckily the dignified selection of costumes ensured that decorum was maintained at all times.

Unacceptable acceptance criteria

James Fridman has made a career out of showing the importance of clear acceptance criteria when requesting Photoshop services.

His clients might have found a couple of our resources useful:
